Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2022. / Kabar /. Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan Marat Imankulov met with UNICEF Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic Christine Jaulmes, the presidential administration reported.
Issues of rehabilitation of families affected by hostilities on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, as well as problems of repatriation of children from zones of military conflicts were discussed.
Marat Imankulov noted the great contribution of UNICEF in solving humanitarian issues related to the observance of children's rights in Kyrgyzstan.
Regarding the forthcoming return of mothers with children from Northern Syria in the near future, the secretary of the Security Council said that the Kyrgyz Republic, implementing the process of repatriation of its citizens, will adhere to the principles of treating children, including respect for confidentiality in relation to them, as well as ensuring direct and permanent contact of repatriated children with their mothers.
Marat Imankulov assured that all state bodies involved in this work are focused on creating the most favorable conditions for meeting returned children and their further socialization in society.
