Bishkek, July 22, 2021 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov visited the villages of Gaz and Sogment in Batken region, Batken Oblast, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said Thursday.
Maripov familiarized with the liquidation of the consequences of an emergency situation caused by the landslide.
Forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were called on the site of the mudflow. Additional forces will be involved if necessary.
The head of the Cabinet instructed to complete the work of clearing the road as soon as possible, the surrounding area around homes and other structures.
"It is important to make every effort to get people back to normal life as quickly as possible. People's safety is paramount, people cannot live in constant anxiety for their lives. Local authorities, together with the state ones, must draw up a plan for further action to prevent emergencies. I instructed to study the experience of other countries, which carry out successful work in this direction,” Ulukbek Maripov added.
