Bishkek, May 24, 2021. / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ulukbek Maripov familiarized with the condition of a dam on the Gulcho river in the village of the same name in Alay region of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh Oblast.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that of the 3,650 meters of dam, built during the Soviet era, only 1,224 meters have been renovated. In case the water level rises, the non-renovated sections of the dam could pose a danger to local residents.
The chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, having got acquainted with the situation, instructed to accelerate the process of dam renovation.
Further, Ulukbek Maripov visited Gulcho village, where he familiarized with the condition of the building with a total area of 1,520 square meters, which is planned to be reconstructed as a Population Service Center.

"The square footage of the building is large, so I support the idea of giving part of the premises to other state bodies,” he stressed.
Earlier, two projects were implemented here to provide clean drinking water to part of the residents of Osh. However, to date, they have not brought proper results. For today, a new project for the construction of a new drainage pump above the old 2.4 km, which will not disconnect the residents of the city of Osh supply of clean water due to changes in weather conditions.

Ulukbek Maripov instructed as soon as possible to submit the project for approval and already begin construction work.
