Bishkek, March 2, 2021 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov received World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Lilia Burunchuk, the press service of the Kyrgyz government reported.
During the meeting, the issues related to the implementation of current joint investment projects in sectors such as telecommunications, digitalization, education and healthcare were discussed.
The prime minister noted the support provided by the World Bank in the fight against the consequences of coronavirus infection and the implementation of a set of preventive protection measures.
In addition, the sides highlighted the issues of further cooperation for the implementation of the existing potential of the republic in such areas as deeper economic integration of the Kyrgyz Republic in regional and international associations, development of the energy industry, creation of a favorable investment climate and technological modernization of the country.
For her part, Lilia Burunchuk expressed support for the main directions of the country's strategic development and the willingness of the World Bank to assist the Kyrgyz Government.
