Bishkek, Apr. 23, 2020 / Kabar /. The holy Ramazan month of Muslims starts tomorrow in Kyrgyzstan, which this year will be held under emergency conditions and quarantine, commandant of Bishkek, Deputy Interior Minister Almaz Orozaliev told a news briefing.
He said that every year in the Ramazan month, iftars were held for citizens who keep a fast, both in mosques, in cafes and at homes.
“This year, such traditional treats for fasting will be banned,” the commandant said calling the citizens to be tolerant.
A state of emergency was introduced in several cities and regions of Kyrgyzstan from March 25 till April 30 to prevent further spread of the novel coronavirus infection. The curfew was imposed from 21.00 p.m. till 06.00 a.m. The movement of citizens is restricted except for visits to drug-store, medical facilities and food stores.
