Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2022 /Kabar/. A mass poisoning affecting 58 people occurred at a cafe in Kadamzhai region of Kyrgyzstan’s Batken Oblast.
The Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance reported that 6 of the 58 people are hospitalized (4 women and 2 children (aged 6 and 2 years), children were admitted to the intensive care unit of the Kadamzhai Central Hospital, first aid and detoxification therapy were provided), the condition is assessed as moderate.
According to preliminary data, a family event with the participation of 250 people was celebrated at one of the cafes on July 30.
When interviewed, people injured noted an odor in a meat, as well as the consumption of mayonnaise salad, chicken, grilled chicken and gourds.
"Washing water from the victims was taken for laboratory examination.
A sanitary and epidemiological examination of the cafe is being carried out, as well as clarification of the list of victims," the report said.
