Bishkek, Aug. 1, 2022 . /Kabar/ . Number of people poisoned at a wedding at one of the cafes in Kadamzhai region of Batken Oblast has reached 89, the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance reported.
16 people are hospitalized, including 2 children, who were initially admitted to the intensive care unit.
"All those injured were given first aid and detoxification therapy, and their condition has improved. In addition, clinical materials were taken from them for laboratory examination," the report says.
At a wedding, people ate a meat, as well as the consumption of mayonnaise salad, chicken, grilled chicken and melons.
Thus, on Aug. 1, an inspection of production conditions in the institution was carried out, wipes were taken from the inventory, utensils, for the carriage of pathogens of intestinal infections.
Samples were taken from the remains of finished products for laboratory examination from the victims. In addition, protocols of violation were drawn up for the head of the cafe.
Instructions on temporary suspension of the operation of the cafe were issued. Coordination activities to localize the outbreak of food poisoning are underway.
