Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2023. /Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev met with a delegation from China’s Guangzhou led by Wang Yanshi, director of the standing committee of the city's People's Congress.
According to the press service of the Mayor's Office, during the meeting the sides discussed the importance of developing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation with the sister city of Guangzhou.
The mayor congratulated on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of sister city ties between the cities of Bishkek and Guangzhou.
In addition, he noted interest in developing fruitful mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the implementation of joint projects for social, cultural and humanitarian development, as well as the exchange of experience in the field of urban planning, transport and other areas of urban life.
At the same time, the mayor expressed hope for the successful implementation of the landscaping project in the exchange of experience in the field of green improvement of the city.
In turn, Wang Yanshi thanked for the warm welcome and invited the mayor to visit Guangzhou.
At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed hope for further development and deepening of bilateral cooperation between the administrations of the twin cities of Bishkek and Guangzhou.
The agreement on establishing sister city relations between the cities of Bishkek and Guangzhou was signed on December 1, 2003.
