Osh, April 12, 2022. / Kabar /. Mayor of the southern capital of Kyrgyzstan of Osh city Almaz Mambetov held a meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Almaz Mambetov in his welcoming speech emphasized the importance of ongoing projects for the city's population and expressed confidence in further close cooperation. In turn, ADB representatives spoke about the ongoing activities within the framework of projects to supply the population of the city with clean drinking water, including the determination of the environmental component, and discussion of the technical part of the projects.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the implemented projects related to the city's water supply, including the project to modernize the chlorine neutralization unit at the Ozgur water treatment plant. In addition, a project proposed by the Osh Mayor's Office for the construction of a water intake structure and a 2.4 km long water conduit, was discussed.
During the trip to the city, representatives of the Asian Development Bank visited the infrastructure facilities of the municipal enterprise "Oshgorvodokanal", during which they got acquainted with the current work of the city's water supply system. They also visited the Ozgur water treatment plant, the Dam water intake, etc.
