Bishkek, July 11, 2024. / Kabar/. A meeting was held in the capital municipality between Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliev and Mayor of Ankara (Türkiye) Mansur Yavash.
This is the first visit of the mayor of Ankara since 1992. Bishkek is also the first city that Mansur Yavash visited after his election to the post in March 2024.
The parties discussed the intensification of practical bilateral cooperation.
Aibek Dzhunushaliev noted the importance of upgrading the skills of Bishkek Mayor’s Office’s specialists, taking into account the experience of Ankara.
The parties also discussed the creation of joint projects to improve the infrastructure of the capital and in the field of digitalization.
Mansur Yavash emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to strengthen trade and economic relations.
In turn, the Bishkek mayor noted the need to increase the number, improve the quality and volume of joint projects.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for further cooperation.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkiye Ruslan Kazakbaev and Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to Kyrgyzstan Ahmet Sadik Dogan.
