Mayors of Bishkek and Tbilisi discuss issues of mutual cooperation

Bishkek, Oct.7, 2019. /Kabar/. Mayors of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov and Tbilisi Kakhaber Kaladze discussed issues of mutual cooperation.

According to the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, Aziz Surakmatov takes part in the Tbilisoba 2019 days of the city at the invitation of his Georgian counterpart Kaladze.

Tbilisoba is an annual public holiday, celebrated in October. For two days the city hosts various cultural and sporting events. The central streets of Tbilisi are full of people celebrating the festival. Visitors can try traditional Georgian wine, cheese and sweets.

Within the framework of the official meeting, the mayors discussed the issues of mutual cooperation and establishment of fraternal relations between the two capitals.

This trip allowed to get acquainted and to exchange experience of introduction of electronic ticketing in public transport, development of the city infrastructure as a whole, and also the capitals’ heads discussed ways of improvement of the city motor transport park.

Bishkek Mayor Surakmatov also had a bilateral meeting with Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan.

The Tbilisoba festival gave impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation between the capitals of Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. The Armenian side expressed readiness to establish fraternal relations with Bishkek in the nearest future.
