Measles outbreak declines in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 22, 2024 / Kabar/. The measles outbreak in Kyrgyzstan is declining by 1.8 times in the 13th and 14th weeks of 2024, Gulbara Ishenapysova, Director of the Republican Center for Immunoprophylaxis of the Kyrgyz Republic told at a press conference at Kabar Agency.

She said that in response to the outbreak, a vaccination campaign was carried out in the regions.

“In May it is planned to complete vaccination of children in all regions. Additional measles vaccinations are currently being purchased,” she added.
