Measures for stabilization of COVID-19 situation in Kyrgyzstan discussed

Bishkek, Aug. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Aug. 10 Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held an online meeting with Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, the current epidemiological situation in the country and measures to further stabilize it were discussed.

PM Boronov noted that in recent days there has been a reduction in the number of new infections and deaths from coronavirus infection.

At the same time, active work is being done to prepare for a possible second wave of coronavirus outbreak in the country, to provide local hospitals with necessary medicines and medical equipment.

One of the lessons learned from the pandemic the prime minister named a shortage of medical personnel. In this regard, the Government is conducting an analysis to find ways to attract additional medical specialists to avoid a recurrence of such a situation in the future.

He also said that active work is continuing to prepare industries for the autumn-winter period.

The Kyrgyz president emphasized that despite the improving trend in the epidemiological situation, sanitary requirements should be fully met as before. The supply of medicines must be done in advance.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov stressed the need to continue supporting farmers to increase exports of agricultural products to foreign markets.

He also urged not to forget about the digital transformation of the country, especially in customs and tax areas.
