Medal winner of Olympic Games Bazar Bazarguruev awarded Dank Medal

Bishkek, Aug. 30, 2018. /Kabar/. President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Decrees on Awarding Bazar Bazarguruev the Dank Medal and on Conferring Honorary Title of Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic to Anarbek Usenkanov.

For outstanding achievements in the field of physical culture and sports the Dank Medal is awarded to Bazarguruev Bazar Budajapovich, Honored Master of Sports in free-style wrestling, bronze medalist of the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing, 2008.

For great contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, training qualified sportsmen of the republic the Honorary Title of Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic is conferred to Usenkanov Anarbek Adybaevich, senior coach-teacher of the Free-style Wrestling Department of the Specialized Children and Youth School of Olympic Reserve in Lenin District, Bishkek.

In 2017 the International Olympic Committee decided to hand overthe medal to Bazarguruev, because one of the Olympic medalists, Ukranian wrestler Vasily Fedorishin, failed a doping retest.

It is known that Fedorishin won a silver medal of the games in Beijing in the weight category up to 60 kg. Bazarguruev performed in the same weight category and ranked fourth. The medal of the Ukranian sportsmen was withdrawn, afterwards, places shifted.
