Media in Kyrgyzstan will fully start working from May 11

Bishkek, Apr. 29, 2020 / Kabar /. Mass media in Kyrgyzstan will fully start working from May 11, Vice Prime Minister of the country Erkin Asrandiev told a news briefing on Wednesday.

He noted that such a decision was made taking into account the wishes of society.

“The work of offices, editorial offices, and studios of all types of media will be resumed from May 11. Previously, some of the media worked remotely,” Asrandiev said.

The state of emergency has been imposed on the territory of the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Naryn, as well as Nookat, Kara-Suu regions of Osh Oblast, Suzak region of Jalal-Abad Oblast and in At-Bashi region of Naryn oblast of Kyrgyzstan from March 25 till April 15, later it was extended till April 30.

Meanwhile, the state of emergency is extended in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad and At-Bashi region of Naryn oblast until May 10, 2020 inclusive.

The government has developed a phased procedure for the resumption of economic activity.
