Media representatives of Central Asia and Russia got acquainted with tourism potential of China's XUAR

Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2023. / Kabar/. A group of journalists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia arrived in the Xinqiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR) of China to get acquainted with the tourism potential of the XUAR.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the launch of the Belt and Road Initiative. Xinjiang is a key region of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

The purpose of the press-tour is to showcase Xinjiang's achievements in the tourism sector, and strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between China's Xinjiang and neighboring countries.

It is planned to visit the city of Altai, Fuyun County, ski resorts and national geoparks.

The event is organized by the press center of the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Xinjiang branch of the China News Service, and the Propaganda Department of the Altai Region of Xinjiang.
