Bishkek, Apr. 19, 2020. /Kabar/. A group of eight medical specialists from Poland have arrived Sunday in Kyrgyzstan through the World Health Organization, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus said.
Polish doctors will assist domestic medical workers in the fight against coronavirus infection in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and Dzhalal-Abad.
"Specialists of the two countries will exchange information and share their accumulated experience in this area," the report says.
A total of 554 new coronavirus cases have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan, 18 of them are medical workers. The total number contracted medical workers is 134.
16 patients are in serious condition, 9 are in intensive care.
3 patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals in the republic past day. In total 133 COVID-19 patients recovered throughout the country. Five have passed away.
