Meerim Dzhumanazarova captures silver of Asian women's wrestling championships

Bishkek, April 21, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstani wrestler Meerim Dzhumanazarova won a silver medal at the Asian Women's Wrestling Championships, which is taking place in Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia on April 19-24.

The Kyrgyzstanis lost 2:3 to Kazakhstan's Madina Bakbergenova in the women's 68kg freestyle wrestling final.

In the first bout, the national athlete defeated Bakbergenova 5:0. In the second, Zhumanazarova took victory over Korea's Sujin Park ahead of schedule and defeated Delgerma Enksaihan of Mongolia 7:2 to advance to the final.

Thus, Kyrgyzstan earned 7 medals at the Asian Championships. 3 gold medals are won by Akzhol Makhmudov, Tynar Sharshenbekov, Zholaman Sharshenbekov, 3 bronze are earned by Roman Kim, Adilkhan Nurlanbekov and Uzur Zhuzupbekov.

At the championships in Mongolia, the Kyrgyz Republic is represented by 21 national wrestlers.
