Meeting of Heads of CIS Customs Services in Cholpon-Ata

Bishkek, Sept. 13, 2018. /Kabar/. The 18th Meeting of the Committee of the heads of law enforcement divisions of the Council of Heads of the Customs Services of the CIS member-states took place in Cholpon-Ata, the press service of the Kyrgyz State Customs Service reported.

During the meeting heads of customs services discussed best practices and experience in detecting and preventing crimes and violation of law in the customs sphere, as well as joint measures for ensuring economic security in the CIS.

Special attention was given to matters of countering illegal international trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their precursors through the channels of international mail and express-courier services, as well as improving informational and analytical support of law enforcement of customs services of the CIS member-states.

At the end of the meeting an Action Plan on organizing joint activities in the organization for further training of the law enforcement divisions staff and an Action Plan of the CIS RILO-Moscow regional communication hub for 2019 were approved.
