Bishkek, Dec.16, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov met on Monday with Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Khudairy, his press service said.
The meeting was held as part of Jeenbekov's official visit to Saudi Arabia.
The Kyrgyz President expressed gratitude to the Fund for the cooperation, noting that he highly appreciates the assistance in the spheres of agriculture, health care, clean water supply to the population, reconstruction of roads in the regions.
In addition, he drew the Fund's attention to the implementation of business projects to promote small and medium-sized enterprises in the regions of the country.
Khalid bin Sulaiman Al-Khudairy, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Saudi Fund for Development expressed his readiness for further fruitful cooperation with the country's relevant state bodies.
He also noted that the Fund supports the parties' intentions to establish the Kyrgyz-Saudi Fund for Economic Cooperation and is ready to take part in this project.
Khalid S. Al-Khudairy assured that the Saudi Fund for Development will continue its efforts to bring bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia to a new level of development.
The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) is a Saudi Arabian government agency that was established in 1974.
SFD's activities varied from development, finance, trade and funding. The fund was established to finance developing countries. Since its establishment, SFD has contributed to financing 750 projects in 71 countries.
