Meeting of Kyrgyz, Uzbek FMs held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2021. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek hosted on Saturday a meeting of Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who arrived in the country for a working visit.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that earlier Minister Kamilov was received by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.

The Kyrgyz side supported the initiative of the Uzbek side and accepted the invitation to take part in the International High-Level Conference "Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities" to be held in Tashkent in 2021.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek multifaceted strategic partnership and exchanged views on further cooperation within the regional and international organizations.

Particular attention was paid to the preparation, content and conduct of an official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan in this March.

The parties noted with satisfaction the high level of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, and confirmed the commitment to further deepening of comprehensive and long-term cooperation.
