Bishkek, Oct.22, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov held a meeting with compatriots living in Japan.
The meeting took place in Tokyo as part of working visit of the Kyrgyz President.
Jeenbekov noted with satisfaction that he is pleased to meet with his compatriots, who are eager to learn all the best in Japan for further use in Kyrgyzstan, his press service said.
“Many countries around the world are interested in deepening cooperation with Japan. We are also determined to develop our bilateral relations. I am pleased that our young people are studying advanced Japanese technology, Japanese language, history and culture. The use of Japan's technological achievements and the mastery of successful experience in science, education and management are very important for the future of Kyrgyzstan,” Jeenbekov said.
During the conversation with the President, compatriots told about the life activity in Japan and plans for the future, asked for an increase in quotas for scholarship programmes in Japanese universities.
They also expressed desire for possible amendments to the legislation and the activities of state bodies, which will contribute to a wider use of the experience and knowledge of the Kyrgyz people in their homeland, acquired in Japan.
At the meeting, an exchange of views on the development of the country, the participation of citizens in this process, the role of small and medium businesses in the structure of the national economy, etc. took place.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov expressed confidence that upon their return to their homeland, compatriots will use their knowledge and experience to improve the activities of state bodies and public administration.
