Meeting of Supreme Eurasian Economic Council kicks off in Bishkek

Bishkek, April 14 / Kabar /. The meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council has started Bishkek.

In 2017, Kyrgyzstan chairs in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian intergovernmental council, and the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of Moldova Igor Dodon participate in the meeting.

It is worth noting that Moldova asks for observer status in the EEU.

During the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the participants will discuss topical issues of economic interaction within the Union, as well as issues of international cooperation and further integration in the Eurasian space.

In addition, the heads of states will consider the granting Moldova the status of an observer state in the Eurasian Economic Union.

After the meeting, the presidents will participate in informal meeting of the of CSTO member states. Tajikistan's President Emomali Rahmon will join them.
