Meeting on socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan’s border areas held

Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2020 /Kabar/. Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Akram Madumarov held a meeting on social and economic development of the country's border regions, the Government’s press service said.

Madumarov reminded that earlier an online meeting was held with President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, during which a number of topical issues on social and economic development of Batken Oblast, as well as border issues were discussed.

"Solving border issues has been and remains one of the priorities of the Government. Despite the resulting budget deficit, funding, implementation of planned items of programs of socio-economic development of border areas are under special control, " the deputy PM noted.

During the meeting, issues of progress in the construction of a number of social and infrastructure facilities were debated.

As a result of the meeting, heads of relevant state bodies have been given a number of instructions, including to work out the construction of logistics center in Batken Oblast of the country.
