Member of Hizb ut-Tahrir detained in Bishkek

Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2020 / Kabar /. One of the members of the Hizbut-Tahrir Al-Islami religious extremist organization, who is on the wanted list, has been detained in Bishkek, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

32-year-old Kyrgyz citizen was detained on Dec. 22 durring the events held by the officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. The detainee has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.

Currently, additional investigative actions are being carried out on pre-trial proceedings.
