Members of Constitutional Counsel approve draft of new Constitution of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2021 / Kabar /. Members of the Constitutional Counsel unanimously approved the draft of the new Constitution of Kyrgyzstan, Chairman of the Constitutional Counsel Bekbosun Borubashev told.

He said that the Constitutional Counsel officially completed the work on the draft of the new Constitution on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

“But even on the last day there were many proposals. We will put them on the record. We will work for a few more days and submit the draft of the new Constitution to the Jogorku Kenesh,” he said.

Borubashev noted that 67 members of the Constitutional Counsel signed the draft of the new Constitution.

“Writing the Constitution turned out to be hard work. We tried to work with dignity,” he added.
