Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2018. /Kabar/. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University (KNAU), signed a memorandum of cooperation, which provides for the transfer of IFC training materials on agribusiness to the University.
The IFC will help university lecturers in processing educational materials, and KNAU students will have the opportunity to complete practical training at pilot enterprises of the project.
Through the transfer of practical knowledge and new technologies in agribusiness to KNAU graduates, the IFC will assist in the training of future specialists for the agricultural sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, it is planned to transfer 6 training modules in the field of dairy herd management, feeding management, animal health and reproduction management, as well as training for the training of instructors from the staff of the University. In addition, under the agreement, an internship will be organized for the best students at farms in Issyk-Kul oblast.
As part of the memorandum, a detailed action plan was drawn up, according to which the IFC will support the integration of the knowledge gained until the end of 2019. Provision of insight into innovative agro-methods to teachers of the University is also expected through their involvement in project activities - seminars and trainings for farmers, monitoring and evaluation of results, which will provide universities with cross sectional and key knowledge.
The IFC Central Asia Agrifinance Project:
The project helps dairy producers of the Kyrgyz Republic to improve dairy farm management, feeding, animal health and reproduction, as well as improving the quality and volume of milk supplies through the development of a supply chain. The project plans to expand the list of universities, which will be prodided training materials and continue to work with enterprises. The project is part of the Global Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Program of the World Bank Group.
