MFA of Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands hold second round of consultations

Bishkek, April 12, 2022 . / Kabar /. The second round of consultations was held on Tuesday between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands at the level of directors of supervising departments, the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA said.

During the online meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of diverse bilateral cooperation. Heads of delegations noted the traditionally friendly relations between the countries, a shared commitment to democratic principles and respect for fundamental freedoms and human rights and a mutual willingness to further expand cooperation. The sides planned a number of joint celebrations on the eve of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries.

In order to bring the parties closer together, they agreed to continue joint work on organizing high-level visits, business forums, and exchange of trade delegations.

In order to ensure the framework conditions for the development of bilateral cooperation, the delegations touched upon the improvement of the legal framework in the field of taxation, investment, tourism, agriculture, education, health, environment, easing of visa requirements.

Heads of delegations also discussed regional and global political and security issues.

Representatives of the MFA of Kyrgyzstan and the Netherlands exchanged information on the internal political situation in the countries. Kyrgyz diplomats reported in detail on the implementation of socio-economic reforms aimed at further democratic development and welfare of the country. The Dutch delegation welcomed and supported Kyrgyzstan's democratic achievements and ongoing reforms.
