Military cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 25, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Defense of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Omuraliev met with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Rapil Zhoshybaev, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kyrgyzstan reported.

During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries were discussed. In this direction, an important aspect of cooperation is the supply of military-technical equipment to the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of the signed Agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on the provision of gratuitous military-technical assistance.

The sides also discussed the issue of training military personnel in the military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan and participation of representatives of the defense departments of the two countries in various exercises held within the framework of the CSTO and the CIS.

The sides confirmed their readiness to further develop cooperation for the benefit of the two states.
