Militia in Osh Oblast to switch to reinforced regime during parliamentary elections

Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2021 . / Kabar / . A guard mounting of the personnel of Osh Oblast and Osh city Internal Affairs Departments took place on Wednesday on the central square of Osh, the press service of the city’s Mayor’s Office said.

Columns of employees of the central apparatus of Osh Oblast and Osh city Internal Affairs Department, as well as Internal Department of a number of regions of the oblast, the 3rd battalion of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry and servicemen of the Interior Ministry's military unit were lined up on the central square.

All indicated units are involved in ensuring public order and security during the parliamentary elections scheduled for Nov. 28, 2021.

Head of the departments carried out the front review, special attention was paid to the appearance of militia officers involved in the polling stations during the elections, compliance of uniforms with the established standards, availability of personal medical protection equipment, and inspected the vehicles involved.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdiev demanded strict compliance with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, regulations governing the activities of Internal Affairs Departments of the Kyrgyz Republic and election legislation.

In Osh Oblast, over 300 investigative teams will be switched to a reinforced regime on the election day.

In addition, more than 900 vigilantes and 150 veterans of internal affairs are involved to ensure public order.
