Bishkek, June 25, 2021. / Kabar /. In January-May 2021, milk production in the republic amounted to 582.7 thousand tons, which is 10 thousand 784 tons or 1.9% more than the corresponding period last year.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the increase in milk production in the republic is due to the increase in the number of cows by 19.7 thousand heads and the average milk yield per cow by 5.6 kg.
Also, during the reporting period, 229596 thousand eggs were produced in the republic, which is 5883 thousand eggs less or amounted to 97.5% compared to the corresponding period of last year. The decline in egg production in 2021 is observed in Issyk-Kul (58.6%) region.
The main reason for the decline in egg production in the republic is a decrease in the number of poultry by 140.7 thousand heads.
