Mini-hydropower plant to be built in Too-Kyzyl-Suu village of Jalal-Abad Oblast

Osh, June 23, 2022. / Kabar /. A mini-hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 100 million kWh of energy per year will be built in the village of Too-Kyzyl-Suu of Jalal-Abad. This became known during the meeting of Mayor of Jalal-Abad Ernis Ormokov with representatives of the company planning the construction of a mini-hydropower plant.

Mayor Ernisbek Ormokov held a meeting with representatives of the Energy company and got acquainted with the project for the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power station in the village of Too-Kyzyl-Suu. The Energy company intends to build 17 mini-hydropower plants in Kyrgyzstan, 4 of which will be built on the territory of Jalal-Abad Oblast.

For the construction of a small hydroelectric power station in the village of Too-Kyzyl-Suu, the company leased 1.5 hectares of land from the local government for 49 years. According to the agreement, the company must complete the construction of a small hydropower plant by the end of 2023. Upon completion of the work, the company will pay to the local budget a monthly rent in the amount of 11,200 soms and an annual social package in the amount of 800,000 soms.
