Bishkek, April 21, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Safar mini oil refinery LLC located in Leilek region of Batken Oblast is expected to be launched in May this year, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Energy and Industry reported on Wednesday.
At the moment, the plant is carrying out preparatory work for the launch of production. Also, a one-year contract has been signed with Kyrgyzneftegaz OJSC for the supply of crude oil in the amount of 10 thousand tons.
In the future it is expected that the plant will be modernized and upgraded, which will further increase the amount of processed raw materials. As of today, the designed capacity is 50 thousand tons/year. The output products are diesel fuel, fuel oil.
After the launch of the oil refinery, Leilek region will be provided with the fuel, especially the agrarians. In addition, more than 40 people will be employed.
