Bishkek, July 12 / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev took part in the informal conference of Foreign Ministers of OSCE countries held on July 11 in Mauerbach, Austria, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
In his speech, Abdyldaev drew attention to the challenges and threats to security faced by Kyrgyzstan and the Central Asian region. He said that these problems are relevant for all OSCE countries, and therefore called on participating states to intensify their efforts to combat the common evil. Minister Abdyldayev also noted the need to maintain an open dialogue between the participating states and to adopt joint confidence-building measures to ensure universal security in the OSCE area in the interests of all countries.
In particular, Abdyldaev said that the building an equal dialogue between all partners contributes to the formation of mutual trust. In this context, the Minister again drew attention to the need to improve the organizational conditions for the conduct of OSCE activities in the human dimension, by amending the ODIHR's rules of procedure previously proposed by the Kyrgyz side.
The Kyrgyz minister also held a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of the OSCE participating states.
