Minister Dzhamankulov takes part in Seventh Meeting of SCO Justice Ministers

Bishkek, 16.10.20. /Кабар/. Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan Marat Dzhamankulov took part in the Seventh Meeting of the Ministers of Justice of the Member States of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

The meeting was held in the format of videoconference, the press service of the Kyrgyz Justice Ministry reported Friday.

Justice ministers of India, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov also take part in the meeting chaired by India's Minister of State for Low and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The Meeting discussed such issues as role of ministries of (law and) justice of the SCO member states in creating favorable conditions for dispute resolution, innovations in the activities of ministries (of law and) and justice of SCO member states, etc.

Briefing about Kyrgyzstan’s legal system, Minister Dzamankulov noted that one of the main innovations is giving the ministry new functions on probation. He informed about the establishment of the probation institute in the Kyrgyz Republic, works on creation of the Probation automated information system and its integration into the Single Register of Crimes and Misdemeanors automated information system, on automation of formation and maintenance of the state register of lawyers, improvement of the procedure for discussion of draft regulatory legal acts.

He also informed that in 2020 the “Online registration of legal entities" and "Electronic Notary" information systems were put into commercial operation.

Marat Dzhamankulov noted that the ongoing activities of the Justice Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic on digitalization of services proved to be especially relevant during the COVID-19 pandemic.
