Minister of economy of Kyrgyzstan discusses with ambassador of Slovakia prospects for co-op in various fields

Bishkek, April 6, 2022 / Kabar /. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiyev met with the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Kyrgyz Republic Milan Kollar (with residence in Nur-Sultan).

During the meeting, the sides noted the development of bilateral trade and economic ties and the prospects for cooperation in various fields, the press service of the ministry reported.

They also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the negotiations to discuss the draft Agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of tax evasion on income and capital between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Slovak Republic, held via videoconference in March 2022.

Kollar informed about the intention of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Korchok to visit Kyrgyzstan together with a group of entrepreneurs, in connection with which, the sides discussed the possibility of organizing a business forum between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

In addition, in order to intensify cooperation in the investment sphere, the ambassador proposed to revise the draft Investment Protection Agreement, taking into account the new EU conditions.
