Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Kashkar Dzhunushaliev held a working meeting with regional representative of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Central Asia Ashita Mittal.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the meeting was also attended by international coordinator at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Acting Head of the Program Office of UNODC Koen Marquering and International Coordinator of UNODC Yusuf Kurbanov.
During the meeting, the sides highly appreciated the level of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and UNODC.
Dzhunushaliev expressed his gratitude to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime for the support in countering drug trafficking, and also expressed confidence for further close cooperation.
In her speech, Ashita Mittal informed about the activities of the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia, its priorities and plans for the future.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed the main priorities and joint projects for the short-term and long-term periods.
