Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Ambassador of Great Britain Charles Garrett.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said that during the meeting the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UK. In particular, Kazakbaev expressed a request to expedite the submission of the British side's responses to the draft bilateral agreements previously submitted to it for consideration, the draft Roadmap for cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UK for 2022-2025.
In addition, the sides discussed the situation in Ukraine. Kazakbaev informed Ambassador Garrett about the statement of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov on the situation around Ukraine, which notes the need to resolve emerging situations in a peaceful, diplomatic way.
In this regard, it was noted that, taking into account today's events, we are in favor of an early de-escalation, the resumption of the search for ways to peacefully resolve the conflict and the need to resolve the conflict situation exclusively by political and diplomatic methods at the negotiating table.
