Bishkek, May 24, 2018. / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Zhumagulov met in Ankara with his Turkish counterpart - Minister of Culture and Tourism Numan Kurtulmush, the press service of the Ministry of Culture reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of further development and strengthening of bilateral cultural ties and exchange of experience in the field of tourism. The result of this meeting was the agreement of both parties to hold weeks of culture with a view to better acquaint two fraternal peoples with achievements in this important area. In particular, it is planned to hold in turn an exhibition of folk art and concerts in the countries.
In addition, in accordance with the agreement reached between the presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan within the framework of the official visit to Turkey, the ways of cooperation in the sphere of mass information and the press are determined. More favorable conditions will be created for journalists of the two countries to exchange experience and professional contacts, prepare and cover in their countries materials on historical, cultural and tourist attractions.
The two countries' ministers approved a special Action Plan for cooperation in the field of tourism, the items of which will be implemented without delay. For example, it was decided to train tourism workers and trainee students from Kyrgyzstan, where tourism is just beginning to develop, and, accordingly, to send specialists to Kyrgyzstan from Turkey, where tourism is widely develop for practical training at specific facilities.
