Ministries of Defense, Energy and Industry to be re-established in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Feb. 1, 2021. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed a decree "On further measures to develop the management system of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic”, his press service reported on Monday.

Thus, the Decree stipulates to consider expedient the establishment of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of the State Defense Committee of the republic and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, as well as to recommend to the Government of Kyrgyzstan to take measures resulting from this Decree.

At a meeting of a parliamentary majority coalition on Monday, candidacy for the post of prime minister of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov said the Ministry of Energy and Industry may be established in Kyrgyzstan again.
