Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan plans to purchase about 20 thousand tons of wheat

Bishkek, June 16, 2021. / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Regional Development of Kyrgyzstan Ilic Marsbek uulu during a press conference at the Kabar Agency said that theministry will purchase about 20 thousand tons of wheat for the State Material Reserves Fund.

He said that also Kyrgyzstan will receive 40 thousand tons of flour, 20 thousand tons of butter and the same amount of sugar within the framework of the agreement with China. In turn, there is an agreement with Kazakhstan on the provision of 10 thousand tons of flour.

“The products will arrive in Kyrgyzstan very soon and is stored in the warehouses of the Ministry,” he said.

In addition, the deputy minister noted that today the warehouses already store 5 thousand tons of sugar and 1 thousand tons of butter, provided by the Russian Federation.

In addition, Marsbek uulu asked individuals not to escalate the situation with a possible shortage of animal feed during the autumn and winter period.

“Today the harvest of millet and wheat is underway. After that, according to the results, we will sow 200 thousand corn seeds on 10 thousand hectares,” he said.
