Bishkek, March 12, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev discussed the current economic situation and anti-crisis measures with representatives of the business community of the country, the press service of the ministry reported.
Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that the ministry intends to strengthen public-private dialogue in order to stabilize the economic situation in the country.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has already implemented four packages of short-term government programs to restore economic activity and support the activities of business entities. Taking into account the consequences associated with the situation around Ukraine, in order to minimize the negative consequences, an Anti-Crisis Plan of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic is being developed. The current situation carries risks both for the state and for business. Therefore, we will jointly develop practical measures to prevent a crisis, because business knows the situation on the ground better,” he said.
The meeting participants discussed the possibilities of supporting business and the banking system in connection with the growth of the dollar, preventing the outflow of Kyrgyz som deposits. Representatives of business associations expressed concern over the restrictions on foreign trade operations with Russia and the termination of air travel. It was said about the need to work out alternative routes and, in general, issues of transport logistics. The businessmen proposed to use the possibilities of the Eurasian Economic Union.
An important point of discussion was the issue of filling the deficit in the supply of vital goods from Russia and Ukraine, primarily medicines and food products.
As a result of the discussion, a program of joint anti-crisis actions of the ministry and business will be formed.
