Bishkek, Apr. 9, 2019 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Education and Science named the most effective department of Kyrgyzstan on the implementation of EU budget assistance.
The press service of the Ministry reported that this became known at the 2nd meeting of the Subcommittee on Cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic - the European Union.
The meeting was attended by Raffaella Iodice, Head of the Directorate, the European Commission's Directorate-General for International cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO); Mr. B. Yaroshevich - Head of the Central Asia Division at the European External Relations Service of the European Union, representatives of ministries of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The subcommittee discussed the strategic directions of bilateral cooperation of the European Union with the Kyrgyz Republic, including, the rule of law, integrated rural development, education.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov said that, two educational programs (2010-2013 and 2014-2019) were successfully implemented.
The participants confirmed that the coordinated work of the Ministry of Education and Science and the EU Delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic achieved excellent results in fulfilling the conditions of budget support and promoting a number of reforms.
Raffaella Iodice noted that the EU welcomes the return of Kyrgyzstan to the PISA ( The Programme for International Student Assessment) and is ready to provide technical assistance to this process.
It was decided to note in the protocol that the Ministry of Education and Science is the most effective among the ministries and departments on the implementation of budget assistance of the European Union.
