Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan receives new equipment and rescue equipment

Bishkek, March 6, 2024. /Kabar/. The German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) donated new equipment and rescue equipment to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the transfer of equipment and rescue equipment took place as part of a meeting between Minister Boobek Azhikeev, and the cluster coordinator for climate, water, and energy of the German Society for International Cooperation, Torzten Bretzina, where the parties discussed issues of cooperation for the current year.

Thus, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic was given computers, laptops, drones and much more, which is especially important in cases of responding to emergency situations.

The equipment and life-saving equipment were transferred within the framework of the regional climate and security initiative “Green Central Asia” of the German Federal Foreign Office.

The goal of the project is to improve the management of transboundary climate and natural disaster risks in Central Asia.

The project aims to create a regional early warning system for disaster risks based on comprehensive monitoring of the hydrological regime of the main water bodies selected within the project.
