Bishkek, June 3, 2022. / Kabar /. Official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Avazbek Atakhanov, commented on the border incident that occurred on June 3, 2022 in Bulak-Bashy area of Batken Oblast, on the border with Tajikistan, during which two servicemen of the Kyrgyz Republic - Sergeant Suyunbek uulu and Corporal Zhalilov were seriously injured, the press service of the country's Foreign Ministry said.
He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic proceeds from the unchanged position on the need to comply with the reached agreements and not create conditions in the future that could lead to an escalation of the situation in the border areas between the two countries.
At the same time, he stressed that all existing problems should be solved exclusively by political and diplomatic means.
Avazbek Atakhanov believes that in order to avoid the recurrence of such situations, the parties should mutually strive to create a constructive and benevolent atmosphere in resolving border issues in order to exclude various scenarios of clashes in the future that could lead to the death of citizens and military personnel on both sides, destroy the centuries-old good neighborly relations between the two peoples.
