Bishkek, Oct.8, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposes to expand the number of countries for visa-free regime, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aibek Omokeyev said during the session of the Council on Business and Investment Development.
He noted that today 52 countries have visa-free regime with Kyrgyzstan.
“To date, 13 more countries have been proposed to add to the list. Thus, the visa-free regime will be valid for 65 countries,” he said.
MP Dastan Bekeshev said there is need to introduce a simplified visa for transit air passengers.
Omokeyev noted that the Foreign Ministry proposes to introduce a visa-free regime for transit passengers with a return ticket or a ticket to a third country for 5 days.
"Such a regime is proposed to be introduced for citizens of 82 countries. The proposal is introduced into the Government Office and Office of President,” he said.
