Bishkek, June 29, 2020 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has changed the algorithm for combating COVID-19, the country’s Deputy Minister of Health Nurbolot Usenbaev told a news briefing.
He stressed that the epidemiological situation remains tense.
“Over the past few days, the number of patients with signs of pneumonia has increased. Very often, these patients arrive in serious condition. Therefore, in our hospitals, 88 patients have a serious condition, and 26 patients are in intensive care. These are all patients with pneumonia. Today, all measures are being taken to keep this situation under control," Usenbaev said.
The deputy minister noted that today the Ministry of Health has changed the algorithms for action under such circumstances. All primary level specialists received clinical guidelines in order to ensure that patients are admitted and consulted on the spot, because along with asymptomatic patients, patients with mild manifestations of pneumonia or respiratory disease will also be under medical supervision.
“We once again appeal the population that when you have a fever or some kind of acute respiratory illness, you need to call a group of family doctors to get advice and start treatment. Because many people in this expectant state neglect ailment and with various complications come to hospital," he said.
