Ministry of Health denies information about growth of number of sick children with Kawasaki syndrome

Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2021 / Kabar /. Director of the National Center for Maternal and Child Health of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan, Professor Kamchibek Uzakbaev denied information about the growth of a number of sick children with Kawasaki syndrome.

He told Kabar Agency that in December, there was an increase in children with Kawasaki syndrome after suffering from coronavirus infection COVID-19. “There is no growth. On the contrary, out of 15 admitted patients, 13 have already been discharged, and only two are receiving treatment. Their condition is satisfactory,” he said.

The director of the National Center informed that today the Ministry of Health approves the fifth clinical protocol, which contains an algorithm for treating children with Kawasaki syndrome.
