Bishkek, June 15, 2021. / Kabar /. 44% of COVID-19 cases detected in Kyrgyzstan are British strains, one South African and one Indian and 39% are Russian strains, Deputy Minister of Health Zhalalidin Rakhmatullaev told at a briefing.
He said that as a result of daily monitoring of the epidemiological situation, an increase in the incidence has been observed since April.
The deputy minister noted that the circulation of registered new strains of British, South African, Indian can affect the increase in morbidity among the population if sanitary and hygienic and epidemiological requirements are not followed, for such reasons as:
- non-observance of the mask regime, hand hygiene in public places;
- despite the restriction, the holding of mass cultural and solemn events continues;
- not keeping the distance (1-1.5 m) in public places (in public catering points, in transport, shopping centers, bazaars, etc.);
- underestimation of their condition, lack of alertness, people with signs of viral infections continue to visit public places;
- non-compliance with the isolation regime by the patients themselves (asymptomatic forms), contact, as a result, family foci and contact with sick relatives, colleagues, etc.
“In connection with the above, the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic urges to observe elementary measures to prevent coronavirus infection - physical distancing, wearing masks, washing hands with soap or using antiseptics!,” Rakhmatullaev said.
