We are fully ready to ensure public order during the presidential elections, Minister of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ulan Niyazbekov told during online meeting with the heads of the police departments on ensuring public security during the presidential elections in the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the press service of the ministry, the meeting, which was held online, was attended by deputy ministers, heads of services of the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, main departments, heads of internal affairs departments in regions.
At the meeting, the minister gave instructions on the observance of public order, observance of the rule of law and the timely adoption of operational measures within the framework of the legislation in connection with various violations.
He said that in order to ensure public safety during the presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, from Jan. 8, police officers will be transferred to high alert. According to the action plans, more than 11 thousand employees of the internal affairs bodies will be involved.
In order to ensure security at polling stations and conduct preparations for the upcoming elections, a special working group is operating in conjunction with the Central Election Commission.
